Kuwait: The work of the 98th regular session of the Standing Committee for Arab Media, organised by the Media and Communication Sector of the Arab League, kicked off yesterday and continues for two days.
The Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) participates in the meeting with a delegation headed by Media Advisor at QMC Abdulrahman Nasser Al Obaidan. The meeting is held after the 24th meeting of the permanent expert group concerned with following up on the role of Arab media in confronting the phenomenon of terrorism.
The two meetings aim to prepare for the work of the meeting of the 16th regular session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information headed by Iraq, which will be held on Wednesday in Kuwait with the participation of Arab information ministers.
The Standing Committee is a pivotal mechanism for following up on joint media work and undertaking, in accordance with the requirements of the statute of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information, to serve Arab issues, shed light on the diversity and richness of the Arab cultural heritage through various media, and study the strategies and plans to strengthen the potential for cooperation, integration and exchange of experience.
