“We have been conducting Total Tennis tournament every year for the past 11 years, as part of our ‘Total Cup’ tournament, and this has resulted in success for the integration of our present and new-coming employees”, said Deputy VP – HR, Communications, CSR at Total, Christophe Eon.
The friendly match was followed by the award ceremony for the winners of Total Tennis Tournament, which was held last month.
The winners of the competition are Ida Poitrenaud (Ladies), Guillaume Chapin (Men), Henri Lion (Kids 13-14), Inaki LeMignon (Kids 11-12) and Benoit Lion (Kids 8-10); while the finalists are Rkia Najmi, Jerome Betat, Titouane Romane, Eloi Depierrefeu and Elise Mottais. Being diverse in every way, “This internal tournament, which is in line with our sponsorship of Qatar Total Open, brings about the positive values of unity and cultural integration”, Christophe Eon added.
Earlier, commenting on the importance of the WTA event, Head of Public Relations Support at Total Qatar, Mohamed Al Mohsin said: “This is a very exciting week for us, especially since the tournament has grown in magnitude, and is hosting many world class players in its court. It’s an honor to sponsor Qatar Total Open, as our partnership with QTF has definitely helped Total anchor a social action through sports in Qatar and thus contribute to the objective of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
The two best ranked players in the world lead a high-quality field in Doha during the Qatar Total Open, where nine of the top 10 women players are competing.
