Indonesian Embassy organises manual coffee brew competition

Doha: The Indonesian Embassy in Qatar, in cooperation with Indonesian Coffee Lovers Association in Qatar, organised a manual coffee brew competition at Pearl of Beirut (PoB) Restaurant in Al Khor.

The event was opened by Ambassador of Indonesia to Qatar, H E Ridwan Hassan. Also present at the event were Charge d’Affaires of the Philippine Embassy in Qatar Cassandra B Sawadjaan and Qatari PoB restaurant business partner Ahmed M A Al Abdul Jabbar. 

The competition is aimed to promote Indonesian coffee in Qatar, and served as a forum for gatherings and discussions for Indonesian community in conjunction to Indonesia’s National Heroes Day being held every November 10.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Hassan mentioned that due to its unique geographical indications, Indonesia has produced one of the best of variety of coffees in the world. 

He also hoped that more and more Indonesian coffee could enter Qatar market.
