Doha: Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs represented by the Women Activity Section of the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance announced it will launch ‘Hasana’ campaign on October 16.
The campaign will last until November 3, with the participation of a group of Islamic preachers in several areas in the country.
The Women Activity Section explained that the events are held at the Quran Memorisation Centre in Al Waab area, and in 12 other different centres around Qatar. This is in addition to a number of girls schools, Qatar University, and a public evening for women groups, as well as specialised lectures for students, preachers and teachers in Islamic schools in the country.
The Head of Women Activity Section of the Department of Dawah and Religious Guidance, Nawar Al Mahmoud said that the concept of this campaign started last year, and its is about spreading the correct faith, and to enhance the education to all the community groups.
Al Mahmoud pointed out that the choice of the title “Hasana” is based on the fact that intellectual and religious immunity is very important for society, especially with the rapid development and openness to other cultures.
Al Mahmoud also said that the campaign includes holding of 46 lectures and events in different areas of the country, including nine women's Quran memorisation centres and three civil centres, as well as one of the Qatar University’s external halls for public events; in addition to 14 remote lectures.
