Doha: Minister of Public Health H E Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari met with Vice-President of the Republic of Costa Rica H E Marvin Rodriguez Cordero, who is currently visiting the country.
The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the health fields, and the efforts to counter the coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Costa Rica to the State of Qatar H E Alvaro Mariano Segura Avila, and a number of senior officials at the Ministry of Public Health.
Following the meeting, the Minister of Public Health accompanied the Vice-President of Costa Rica and the accompanying delegation on a tour of Qatar Rehabilitation Center at Hamad bin Khalifa Medical City.
During the tour, the visiting delegation was briefed about the various sections of the Center and the advanced services it provides to rehabilitation patients, including the gait laboratory, and the Easy Street facility through which real situations are simulated by engaging the patient in a safe clinical environment for patients whose cases require targeted treatment to enable them to reintegrate back into the society and take their first independent steps towards recovery.
Members of the official delegation accompanying the Vice-President of Costa Rica also paid a visit to Al Rumailah Hospital where they learned about the hospital’s departments and the services it provides to patients and visitors.
