ACTA organises training on transparency, integrity in tenders and auctions

The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) has organised a training course on transparency and integrity in tenders and auctions, for the staff of the Ministry of Interior, to enhance their abilities, knowledge and skills in the application of concepts and standards of integrity and transparency.
The training programme lasted for five days, with the participation of a number of legal experts, experts on tenders and auctions, members of tenders and auctions committees, and members of the internal control and audit departments. Through this training program, participants learned about the concepts of corruption, transparency and integrity, the seriousness of corruption in tenders and auctions, and the general theory of administrative contracts and their relationship to tenders and auctions. 
The programme covered the standards of integrity and transparency for all phases of government contracts, from the preparation stage to the implementation stage. It also touched on security, economic and social considerations in tenders and auctions and their relationship to integrity and transparency.
The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority explained that this training program comes within the framework of the development plan adopted by the Authority to enhance the capabilities of public officials, raise their efficiency and giving them knowledge that enhances their scientific and practical capabilities in the areas of integrity, transparency and prevention of corruption.
At the conclusion of the training course, Director of the Police Training Institute, Major Ali Saud Al Hanzab, and Director of Public Relations and Liaison with the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, Ibrahim Ali Abdullah, handed certificates to all participants.
