Doha: The Ministry of Justice has finalised the procedures for moving its official website into the Microsoft cloud within the framework of its plan for digital transformation in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
Last week, MCIT launched the first large-scale cloud data centre region in Qatar in partnership with Microsoft Corporation to join the largest cloud infrastructure in the world.
It enhances the competitive ability of Qatar at the regional and global levels, in conformity with Qatar National Vision 2030 that consolidates the pioneering status of Qatar in the process of digital transformation.
Director of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Justice Hessa Al Sulaiti said that the step of moving the ministry’s website into the Microsoft cloud came in the implementation of directives of Minister of Justice H E Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri to accelerate the ministry’s procedures of digital transformation in line with the requirements of the digital strategy of the government and Qatar National Vision 2030.
Al Sulaiti added that transition to Microsoft cloud is an integral part of the information systems department at the Ministry of Justice for the sake of implementing its strategic plan, currently being implemented, and comprises the development of a holistic roadmap for transition into cloud computation.
