Qatari skydivers eye podium spots in Russia

The Qatar skydiving team is well placed for podium spots in both four-way and eight-way formation competitions, having occupied third and fourth positions at the end of the third day of the World Parachute Jumping Championships in Kemerovo, Russia, yesterday.

Team Qatar has accumulated 160 points from four rounds out of 10 in the four-way formation skydiving category which is led by Belgium (193), followed by  USA (169). 

In the eight-way category, Qatar have collected 131 points after 7 rounds, and are hoping to jump into the top three with better performances today and tomorrow. 

In the individual junior male accuracy landing category, Qatar's Al Abidi Saleh Mohammed was sixth after four rounds, with six more to go.
