Doha: The Alumni Welfare Association Integral University (AWAIU) – Qatar Chapter recently organised the 2nd Alumni Meet at Sheraton Hotel, Doha recently.
Eng Mohd Farzan Ansari hosted the event along with co-host Dr. Mohd Nayeem Amaan. The event kicked off with the Quran recitation, followed by the felicitation ceremony of guests and the appointment of the new office bearers.
Among the guests were Vice-Chancellor of Integral University, Professor Jawed Musarrat; AMU Alumni, Jawed Ahmad; JMI Alumni, Shadab Khan; Sheen InfoTech Owner, Lutfi Kakar; Hamad Medical Corporation Molecular Pathophysiology Professor, Dr. Shahab Uddin; and Qatar University Women Researcher Awardee, Dr. Shima Sadaf.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the way the programme was conducted. He was delighted to demonstrate the diversification of the University with students around the world pursuing different courses and joint research activities, the expansion of the campus with eye-catching infrastructure and the set-up of the latest technologies and equipment in the University. He received accolades from the audience for his outstanding accomplishments.
He stressed the necessity of adopting the technologies and implementing them in educational curricula, which aims to serve as a framework for shaping the future of the students.
The Association elected their new office bearers for the 2022-2024 term, with Mazid Ali as the President, Vaquas Siddqui as the Chairman, Ali Azeem as the Patron and Mohd Farzan Ansari as the Vice-President. The office bearers pledged to handle the chapter’s affairs ethically and competently, and the newly elected office bearers were honoured with the badges.
“Over the past two years, the Association worked closely with North Indian Universities to promote Educational Webinars, Blood Donation camp, Athletic events, recruitment drives and various other activities,” said the AWAIU President Mazid Ali.
The association Patron Ali Azeem and the Senior Advisor Aun Jafar along with the core AWAIU Association members – Abdul Mohamin Alvi, Sajid Khan, Syed Shafiq and Mohd Irfan aimed to assist the students from Integral University with internship opportunities in Qatar, as a part of their continued cooperation with the Alma mater.
“The reunion of a fantastic past and a promising future marks the end of the 2nd Alumni Meet, and we look forward to our continued cooperation with our Alma mater as a whole,” said the AWAIU Chairperson, Vaquas Siddiqui while delivering the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a cake cutting ceremony and dinner.
