DOHA: The Engineers and Engineering Offices Accrediting and Classifying Committee of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said that in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (19) of 2005 and its executive regulation for regulating the practice of engineering professions, as amended by Law No. (2) of 2014, ministries or other government agencies, public bodies or institutions, companies and individuals shall only entrust licensed engineering consulting offices with engineering consulting services.
Those entities also shall not accept engineering reports, drawings or designs unless they are signed by the responsible engineer in one of those licensed offices, in accordance with article (20) of the said law, the Committee added.
The Committee called on all concerned to comply with the law and not to commit any irregularities that would subject them to legal accountability. QNA
