Sir Bobby tips Bayern to win Champs League

BERLIN: England’s World Cup winner Sir Bobby Charlton has tipped German giants Bayern Munich to win this season’s Champions League title.
“If I had to say one team, I would pick Bayern Munich to win the Champions League,” the 75-year-old football legend told German broadcaster Sport 1, ahead of Bayern’s last 16, second leg clash with Arsenal in Munich yesterday.
The former Manchester United star, who won the World Cup in 1966, said Bayern’s Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund are also contenders to reach the Champions League final at Wembley stadium on May 25.
“They belong among the favourites,” said Charlton, who was knighted in 1994. AFP
