Riyadh: The Qatar Media Corporation won two awards from the TV exchange, co-production, and radio exchange awards, which were announced yesterday, during the twenty-second session of the Arab Radio and Television Festival, which is held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Qatar Media Corporation won the first prize in the field of television exchanges and co-productions, in the annual documentary program on environmental and sustainable development issues in the Arab world on the “Smart Agriculture” program produced by Qatar TV, and the second prize in the radio exchange competition for the program “Migrant Brains Among Need” And Nostalgia/ Equally with the “Mind Migration” program of the Saudi Radio and Television Corporation.
The "Robotix" program, produced by the Palestinian Radio and Television Authority, was awarded the first prize in the scientific research branch in the Arab countries, and the program "A Journey into the World of Director Ali Mahmoud", produced by the Egyptian Radio, won the first prize in the category of radio drama flags in the Arab world.
It is worth mentioning that the Arab States Broadcasting Union organized the Arab Radio and Television Festival, in its twenty-second session. This is in cooperation with the Saudi Radio and Television Authority, and the participation of representatives from Qatar Media Corporation, Arab media organizations in the member states of the League of Arab States and similar regional and international bodies, and a selection of actors in the media, cultural and artistic fields.
The festival aims to enrich the dialogue on the most successful visions for the development of radio and television production, and push Arab media to reach better levels of technology, qualification and training, as well as to keep pace with the rapid technological developments.
The twenty-second session of the festival coincides with the establishment of the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), over three days, with the participation of more than 200 institutions from member organizations, television networks, private radio stations, international Arabic-speaking channels, and international manufacturers of technical equipment. This is also in addition to production and distribution companies, audiovisual content, and service providers.
