DOHA: Five more post offices will be opened across the country, Qatar Postal Services Corporation (Qpost) has announced.
The local Arabic daily Al Sharq reported that the new branches will be located in the Eastern area, Al Khouri, Industrial Area, Al Shahania and Al Rayyan.
The project to establish the new branches is in the stage of choosing sites and finalising designs to reflect developments in postal services across the world.
The branches will also provide other necessary services which will be identified in different places across the country.
Qpost also announced that it will open two smaller post offices for residents in the Industrial Areas.
There are more than 30 post offices being operated by Qpost.
Last month, Qpost announced that it was moving its branch office on the Abdul Aziz bin Ahmed Street to C-Ring Road.
