QC hosts Iftar for 1,000 at Al Aqsa Mosque yards

Qatar Charity’s office in the West Bank hosted an Iftar banquet for over 1,000 people at Al Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock yards. 

DOHA: Qatar Charity’s (QC) field office in the West Bank hosted a group Iftar for hundreds of women secluded from worshipping at Al Aqsa Mosque and a group Iftar for those who pray at the Great Mosque of Jaffa.
It also distributed Iftar meals to poor families in villages northwest of Jerusalem, people sponsored by QC, and hundreds of poor and passers-by in cities in the West Bank. 
QC, in coordination with the division of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs at Al Aqsa Mosque, prepared a group Iftar for women praying in the Dome of the Rock’s yards. It also distributed meals to around 1,000 fasting people in Al Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock yards.
QC hosted Iftar for mentally disabled persons living at Al Ihsan Charitable Society in Hebron and sponsored by the charity.
Over 500 people broke fast at an Iftar banquet at Great Mosque of Jaffa where Palestinian workers living in the West Bank and work in the occupied territories go to pray. 
The office also distributed Iftar meals to 120 poor families in the Northwest of Jerusalem where a lot of damage occurred when occupation forces took over the lands to build the Apartheid Wall. Around 700 people benefited from the distribution. 
In Hebron, QC distributed Iftar meals to over 190 poor families and meals in the town of Salfit. The food was given to 190 families sponsored by QC and poor families nominated by Salfit Cooperative Union, benefiting over 1,200 people. 
It also distributed meals to around 120 patients’ escorts at Hadassah Medical Centre.
Iftar meals were distributed to poor families in the town of Tubas and at Far’a Camp for the Palestinian refugees. Some families were sponsored by QC and the remaining nominated by Central People’s Committee at the camp and Tubas Central Zakat Committee. Over 900 people benefited. 
QC also hosted Iftar in the middle of Ramallah city for travellers on the road. QC offers these meals to around 50 people as part of a youth campaign under which an Iftar tent has been set up on the street. 
QC also provides Iftar meals to around 200 patients’ escorts at Al Makassed Islamic Charitable Society Hospital in the middle of Jerusalem.
