Doha: Alfardan Group hosted a charity Iftar at Al Gassar Majlis Tent.
The event, in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent Society, aimed to benefit some 150 people, including 85 underprivileged children in QRC’s care and their families. Children also had an opportunity to experience first-class entertainment and hospitality.
Alfardan Group has always been at the forefront in supporting philanthropic activities to bring meaningful changes in the lives of the less fortunate members of society and help them live with dignity and pride as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Omar Alfardan, President and CEO, said: “The Group takes pride and pleasure in hosting the event, reflecting our commitment to charitable and worthy causes in line with values we maintain and CSR initiatives we regularly conduct and implement. We appreciate QRC’s efforts to ensure a protected life for needy children and will continue to support its humanitarian mission through our CSR initiatives for community development.”
Saleh bin Ali Al Mohannadi, Secretary-General, QRC, hoped the bilateral partnership will continue to support its humanitarian mission and programmes for Qatari and other societies. This marks the second consecutive year Alfardan Group has collaborated with QRC on a charity Iftar banquet.
