Doha: Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality has celebrated the World Food Safety Day 2022, which falls on June 7 at Al Khor Park, in cooperation with a number of food establishments and companies.
The event aimed at educating the public about food safety and safe food and its importance in maintaining health. Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Sayed, Director of the Municipal Control Department, Ahmed Matar Al Shammari, Head of the Health Control Department in Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality, and a number of officials attended the event.
Ahmed Matar Al Shammari, Head of the Health Control Department in Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality, said the event comes under the slogan: Safer Food for Better Health, and aims to spread awareness among the investor and consumer of the importance of food safety.
He said that the role of the Municipality is to educate people about the law for food safety with special focus on children.
