Doha, Qatar: Sidra Medicine, a member of Qatar Foundation, has successfully hosted Qatar’s first Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) Clinical Exam.

Fifteen examiners participated in the examination process, assessing 48 candidates from across the region, who are pursuing certification with the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).

The exam, conducted by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), is a critical qualification for medical trainees aiming to become certified specialists in pediatrics.

Recognised in the United Kingdom and in many international healthcare systems, the exam is a gateway to enhanced career opportunities and a demonstration of advanced clinical competence.

Professor Ibrahim Janahi, Chief Medical Officer and Chair of Medical Education at Sidra Medicine, said, “Hosting the MRCPCH clinical examination at Sidra Medicine reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing paediatric medical education and supporting the professional development of healthcare practitioners in the region. We are honored to have partnered with the RCPCH to bring this internationally recognized examination to Qatar and look forward to continuing to foster excellence in paediatric healthcare.”

Sidra Medicine is one of only six dedicated MRCPCH clinical exam centers in the MENA region, and one of just twelve worldwide. The institution will host the exam annually, with plans to increase its frequency to twice a year in the coming years.

The hosting of the MRCPCH Clinical Exam at Sidra Medicine marks a significant advancemen.
