Doha: Qatar Biobank, a member of Qatar Foundation, staff have successfully achieved the re-accreditation of the CAP certificate for two new years, starting from 2022. This certificate has been granted to Qatar Biobank laboratories after the whole accreditation procedures are done. This certificate keeps Qatar Biobank among the list of the international entities that are similarly accredited with the CAP certificate.
Commenting on this, Dr Nahla Afifi, Director of Qatar Biobank, said:” I would like to congratulate all Qatar Biobank team, who I am proud to be part of, for achieving the CAP certificate accreditation for Qatar Biobank laboratories, which reflects the highest standards of quality and accuracy in Qatar Biobank’s work”. “This certificate also demonstrates our adherence to the international standards and processes during our work, as a quality assurance and guarantee for our commitment to provide the best quality of service and care to our participants,” she added.
Eiman Al Khayat, Head Lab at Qatar Biobank, expressed her happiness with this achievement: “This is a result of the diligent and continuous work of the entire team at Qatar Biobank, not only the team working in the laboratories. The laboratories passed all the inspection procedures in terms of equipment, technologies, staff, workflow, results’ accuracy and more, to ensure that all aspects are fulfilled to grant Qatar Biobank laboratories the CAP certificate re-accreditation for two more years”.
