DOHA: Aster DMH Qatar, which serves more than 2,000 people a day across its different healthcare facilities in the country, is set for a further expansion.
The expansion will include opening of two new clinics, an optical shop and expansion of the Aster Hospital, said Dr Sameer Moopen, Chief Executive Officer, Aster DMH Qatar addressing a press conference held yesterday. Aster DMH Qatar has completed 15 years here and operates six medical centres, seven pharmacies, one diagnostic centre and a 50 bed hospital.
“It’s been a journey with new experience providing quality healthcare to the country. We started with five doctors and now we have more than 100 doctors and 700 staff working at our facilities,” said Dr Moopen.
Aster DMH Qatar has been providing several outstanding services including a blood bank at its hospital. “We were recently licensed to have a blood units and allowed to keep six blood units. It allows us to take high-risk cases,” said Dr Moopen.
He further said that, being a Greenfield hospital the Aster Hospital in Doha has gradually expanded its services since its opening in mid 2017, and planning on a capacity expansion of the facility. Dr Nasser Moopen, Medical Director and Chief of Medical Staff, Aster DMH Qatar and Dr Kapil Chib, Chief Operating Officer Aster Hospital were present during the event held at the Holiday Inn.
