Doha: The 11th Intercontinental Squash Championship will be held from April 11 to 15 at the Intercontinental Squash courts, it was announced here yesterday.
Qatar Squash Federation (QSF), the organisers of the event, said some of the top players from Qatar are likely to take part in the event.
The previous editions of the Inter-Continental Squash Championship has had been popular among local players, the organisers said.
The tournament will be contested in the following ten categories: Boys Under-9, Boys Under-11, Boys Under-13, Boys Under-15, Boys Under-17, Men’s level B, Men’s Level A, Men’s over-45, Ladies and Men’s Professionals.
The entry forms are available at Radisson Blu Recreation Centre, and Sheraton Recreation, InterContinental, and Qatar Squash Federation.
The winners and the runners-up will receive gift vouchers from InterContinental Hotel Doha, said Gamal Rasmi, Technical Secretary of QSF.
The closing date to submit entries is April 3.
Participation in the tournament is open to all resident of Qatar.
