Doha: The quarterly GDP at current prices in Q3 of 2022 is estimated at QR 228.423bn which represents an increase of 30.7 percent compared to the estimate of Q3 of 2021 placed at QR 174.814bn.
When compared to previous quarter (Q2) of 2022 revised estimate of QR 216.468bn, an increase of 5.9 percent is recorded, according to the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) preliminary estimates of gross domestic product (GDP) at current and constant prices (2018=100) for the third quarter (Q3) of 2022. The estimates have been produced with data collected through the Quarterly Economic Indicator Survey and from other source agencies..
The quarterly GDP at constant prices (2018=100) shows an increase of 4.3 percent in Q3 of 2022 (QR 175.028bn) compared to the estimate of Q3 of 2021 (QR 167.782bn). When compared to Q2 of 2022 revised estimate (QR 168.879bn), an increase of 3.6 percent is also recorded.
The nominal gross value added (GVA) estimate of Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR 105.896bn in Q3 2022, which shows an increase of 56.2 percent over the estimate of Q3 2021 placed at QR 67.812 billion. Compared to the previous quarter Q2 2022 revised estimate (QR 98.086bn), an increase of 0.8 percent in the GVA of this sector is recorded.
The real GVA of these activities is estimated at QR 64.377bn in Q3 2022, which shows an increase of 2.7 percent compared to the estimate of Q3 2021 (QR 62.685bn). Compared to Q2 2022 revised estimate (QR 63.884 billion), an increase of 0.8 percent in the real GVA of this sector is also recorded.
The nominal GVA of Non-Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR 122.527bn in Q3 2022, which shows an increase of 14.5 percent over the estimate of Q3 2021 (QR 107.002bn).
Compared to the previous quarter Q2 2022 revised estimate (QR 118.382bn), an increase of 6.9 percent is recorded.
The real GVA of Non-Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR 110.651bn in Q3 2022, which shows an increase of 5.3 percent over the estimate of the Q3 2021 (QR 105.097bn). When compared to Q2 2022 revised estimate (QR 104.995bn), an increase of 5.4 percent is also recorded.
