MES School donates QR100,000 to QRC

The management, staff and students of MES Indian School have donated QR100,000 to victims of Typhoon Haiyan in Philippines and floods in Somalia. The aid was handed over by V V Mahamood, President, MES Governing Board, to Saad Shaheen M M Al Kaabi, Director,  Resources Mobilization and Investment, Qatar Red Crescent (QRC), in the presence of Capt Khalifa Mubarak Al Kaabi, Capital Security Department,   Ministry of Interior, at a special ceremony at the KG auditorium of the school recently. 
“MES Indian School has always evinced a keen interest in extending a timely helping hand for alleviating the travails arising out of unforeseen natural calamities,” remarked Mahamood.
“MES Indian School is the biggest donor among schools in Qatar to support the victims of natural disasters in the Philippines and Somalia. It is a subtle manifestation of human qualities and a gesture of solidarity, generosity and care,” said Al Kaabi. 
Hameeda Kadar, officiating principal, in her address, affirmed the role of MES Indian School in extending support to noble causes and philanthropic activities.
Ahamad Khulafi, official,  QRC; Khalifa Mubarak Al Kaabi and Abdul Azeez Issa Al Muhammadi, officials from the Ministry of Interior; and Faisal Al Hudawi, co-ordinator, Community Reachout, Ministry of  Interior, were also present.
As many as 900 student officials from Scouts and Guides, Cubs, Bulbul and Osood were present on the occasion.
