Secretary-General of the Shura Council H E Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala meeting Secretary General of IPU H E Martin Chungong yesterday.
Doha: Secretary-General of the Shura Council and President of the Arab Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments H E Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala met yesterday with Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) H E Martin Chungong, who is visiting the country to attend part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 events.
At the beginning of the meeting, the UPI Secretary General appreciated the efforts made by Qatar to successfully host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, praising the growth the country is witnessing at all levels.
He expressed his aspiration for this tournament to achieve its goals in bringing peoples together and promoting the exchange of cultures. The Secretary-General of the Shura Council welcomed the UPI Secretary General, wishing him a pleasant stay to enjoy the tournament. A number of issues related to strengthening cooperation relations between the two sides and a work plan for future joint activities between them were reviewed during the meeting.
