Doha: Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia H E Dr. Mamadou Tangara, praised the State of Qatar’s bet on culture and education to promote its comprehensive renaissance and preserve its history, expressing his admiration for the activities that Darb Al-Saai hosts.
During his visit to Darb Al Saai on Friday, he explained that the heritage and cultural activities that Darb Al Saai includes are very important because they help new generations know the roots and history of their country, saying, “I believe that the State of Qatar was able to make a difference and bring about its renaissance because of the great importance that the Qatari leadership attaches to education and culture,” stressing that people’s knowledge of their history and culture is necessary so that they can see the future.
He had toured Darb Al Saai, which includes the activities of the National Day, which falls on December 18 of each year, and he was briefed on a number of heritage and cultural events, including Al Shaqab, Darb Al Sai market, Al Bidda, Al Izba, Liwan Al Fan and the various activities it includes.
