Kerala Business Forum (KBF), a business net work forum of the southern Indian state of Kerala here, hosted its first edition of ‘KBF Business Conclave’ in co-operation with the Indian Embassy.
The event held on December 7 and 8 , 2019, was inaugurated by E P Jayarajan, Minister for Industries, Kerala. P Kumaran, Indian Ambassador highlighted the strides Kerala as a state has been making in encouraging investments and recent initiatives such as K-Swift which is a single window clearance mechanism for fast and transparent clearance for expediting approvals within the time limits.
KBF General Secretary Shaheen Shafi welcomed the gathering and K R Jayaraj, President of KBF highlighted how KBF aims to become a bridge between Investors and Government authorities as a result of this conclave to assist them see their investments through.
The opening day was marked by keynote speeches from Nasser Omeer F A Al Noaimi, Director of Single Window; Hamad Al Marri, Director of Business Development and Investment Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Jahongir Burhonov, Vice President of Business Development from Qatar Financial Centre; and DR R Seetharaman, CEO, Doha Bank.
The event was also attended by Mohammed Althaf, Director of Lulu Group; and Dr Anand Pasupathy , Deputy GM of Teyseer Motors. The second day had its focus on investment opportunities in Kerala. Jenny Anthony, Vice President of KBF; Nishad Director of Start Up Mission, Kerala;
C V Rappai, Norka Roots Director and Director and Group CEO of Video Home / Jumbo Electronics delivered the keynote speech. He elaborated on various activities and schemes under Norka Roots which was set up to ensure NRK Welfare.
A P Manikandan, President, Indian Cultural Centre, and India Community Benevolent Forum President PN Baburaj also spoke.
