Unifying efforts
CEO of Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation, Saeed Muthkar Al Hajri, explained that the Foundation directed its humanitarian and charitable efforts towards the brothers in the brotherly Pakistan, who are facing the impact of worst natural disaster according to various international reports.

Al Hajri said that this requires the unification of the various relief and humanitarian efforts by international bodies and organisations working in the humanitarian sector to support government efforts in Pakistan to contain this humanitarian catastrophe and mitigate economic and health impacts.
He added that the Foundation initiated, under the directives of H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, sending immediate humanitarian aid, especially shelter and food, to alleviate the severity of this environmental catastrophe on our fellow residents of those regions.

He said that the Foundation considered that this type of natural disaster would have serious impact on the economy and living of the residents of the affected regions and villages, which threatens the food security of hundreds of thousands of people.
“Based on this, providing shelter and basic food needs is a priority at that stage,” he said, adding that the Foundation has taken the initiative to provide 1,000 shelter tents, in addition to distributing 4,000 food baskets consisting of basic materials that will alleviate the severe food shortage for a large number of affected brothers in a number of cities in the province of Sindh.
