DOHA: The 11th edition of Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival will be held at Ritz-Carlton hotel from November 26 to 29 under the theme ‘Horizons’.
It is expected to open new horizons for amateur and professional directors and producers. Competitions will have films in short, medium and long categories.
‘Horizons’ was chosen by the festival management to show more communication and receptiveness to creative models in the field of documentary cinema from all over the world.
The management utilised modern media outlets to interact with the public as there are over one million followers to the festival webpage on Facebook.
The page aims to popularise the documentary film culture by attracting Arab and non-Arab writers.
Festival organisers have presented film reviews translated from several languages, including Spanish and French, into Arabic and English.
The festival also has accounts on Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram, and its channel on YouTube.
