Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) has announced the launch of the first 9-month training program ‘Bassmati’ in order to enhance management skills so that the staff of QFSW can perform their tasks effectively.
The training program is organised in collaboration with Qatar Leadership Centre, and provided in English and Arabic.
Amal bint Abdullatif Al Mannai, CEO of Qatar Foundation for Social Work said: “As part of the efforts to strengthen the capacity of the Foundation’s employees and the centres working under its umbrella, the training courses of ‘Bassmati’ training program have been launched.”
These courses reflect the strategic direction of the Foundation in enhancing the ongoing practical capabilities of the Foundation’s staff and developing their leadership skills in order to achieve the goals for which the Foundation and the centers were established, she added.
Al Mannai stressed that the overall objective of launching these training courses is to develop the advanced skills of the employees of the Foundation and the centres under its umbrella.
For his part, Dr. Ali Jassim Al Kubaisi, Acting Executive Director, Qatar Leadership Center, said: “The program was designed to suit the Foundation’s needs and in line with international best practices to develop leadership skills. Based on the results of the study, management skills, leadership, teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking and capacity building will be enhanced.”
He further said: “We are witnessing a new era of self-sufficiency in Qatar and our partnership with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work is in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.”
The participants in the program will be trained by experts and consultants with sufficient academic and managerial experience and the ability to effectively manage the training, he added.
