Athens: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah paid a visit to the areas affected by the fires that broke out in the friendly Hellenic Republic. During the visit, Dr Al Attiyah was briefed on the effects of the fires on a number of areas, which claimed the lives of a large number of local residents, in addition to destroying the infrastructure of those areas.
The Deputy PM conveyed the condolences of the government and the people of Qatar to the government and people of Greece.
The Minister of National Defence of Greece Panos Kammenos accompanied Dr Al Attiyah during the visit.
