Five new attorneys take oath before Justice Minister

DOHA: The Attorney Admission Committee held a meeting yesterday under the chairmanship of Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, at its permanent headquarters in the Ministry of Justice building.

During the meeting, the committee discussed the items on its agenda, including the swearing-in of five new attorneys before the committee.

The committee also discussed applications for registration from individuals in equivalent professions seeking to be listed among practicing lawyers. It approved the applications of three attorneys who completed their training period and agreed to transfer the registration of one lawyer to the list of practicing attorneys before the Court of Appeal.

Additionally, the committee examined several regulatory matters related to the legal profession, including reports from subcommittees, and made appropriate decisions aimed at strengthening the regulatory framework for legal practice.

The Minister, in his capacity as Chairman of the Attorney Admission Committee, congratulated the newly admitted attorneys and affirmed the committee’s commitment to providing a supportive legal environment that enables them to fulfill their noble duties in serving society, enhancing Qatar’s justice system, and upholding the rule of law.

He also welcomed the addition of a new group of national talents to the legal profession and highlighted the advanced training programs developed by the Legal and Judicial Studies Center at the Ministry of Justice to enhance their legal skills and prepare them to practice law with competence and quality, in line with the latest standards in the legal sector.
