Former President of Indian Cultural Center (ICC) in Qatar and a vibrant community leader and contributor, Girish Kumar, is all set to relocate his work position to Iraq after 17 glorious years in Qatar.
A number of friends including community leaders assembled to congratulate him on his new venture and wish him good luck for his future endeavours.
Among those present were Pravasi Bhartiya Awardee and former president of all four apex bodies of the Embassy of India, Hassan Chowgule, former president and chairman of Advisory Council of Indian Cultural Center (ICC) and Indian Business Professional Council.
K M Varghese, former president of ICC, Milan Arun, former president of ICC, A P Manikanthan, former president of Indian Community Benevolent Forum, Devis Edakulathur and the Chairman of Advisory Council of ICC, K Prasad, also attended the event.
They recounted contributions and welfare work carried out by Girish Kumar and thanked him on behalf of the Indian community.
Message and greetings from former Indian Ambassadors to Qatar and several community members were also read out.
Girish Kumar thanked everyone present in the event for their continuous guidance, support and motivation.
He recorded deep appreciation and gratitude for the Embassy officials for always guiding and supporting him during his entire tenure with the community life in Qatar.
He thanked the host country of Qatar and its leadership for his memorable stay in this great nation marked as second home.
The felicitation event was hosted by the former committee members (Year 2014-2016) of Indian Cultural Center.
