The Air Cargo and Private Airports Department of the General Authority of Customs (GAC), represented by the General Post Customs, thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics.
The parcel was subjected to customs procedures and examined through X-ray inspection devices, revealing 6,009 pieces of narcotic pills hidden inside a carton.
Smugglers continuously resort to new methods to smuggle contraband into the country, but the GAC has stayed ready to thwart such attempts. Customs inspectors, through various modern training, are better equipped to prevent the smuggling of banned substances.
