Qatar’s Attorney-General meets Adviser to French President

Qatar’s Attorney—General H E Dr Ali bin Fettais Al Marri  met yesterday with the Adviser to the President of the French Republic, the National Counter-Terrorism Coordinator, Pierre Bousquet de Florian.
Discussions during the meeting dealt with  a number of  issues of mutual interest.

On the other hand, H E the Attorney—General signed a partnership agreement yesterday with the President of the Arab World Institute in Paris, Jack Lang, between the Institute and the Voltaire Schools in Doha. The partnership agreement between the Voltaire schools and the Arab World Institute aims to award specialized academic degrees in Arabic language to students over the age of 15 years.

The agreement makes Voltaire a test and certification center in the Arabic language of the Arab World Institute in accordance with high linguistic standards enabling students of any Arab or other nationality to obtain a certificate in the Arabic language authenticated by  the Arab World Institute in Paris, where the school administration is responsible for  providing quality controls  to become one of the annual testing centers for students in Qatar.

The Arabic Language Certificate, awarded by the Arab World Institute, is the world’s first recognised internationally by the International Center for Educational Studies specialised in education in France, where  student has to obtain a certificate of graduation in Arabic language after passing  six levels of language assessment tests during his or her pre-university studies and also for university students who want to apply for the

Arabic language examinations to obtain a scientific qualification added to their study. This partnership with the Arab World Institute is the first of its kind in the Arab region since Doha will become the largest center for examinations to award Arabic language certificates.

The agreement was signed during the meeting of H E the Attorney—General with the President of the Arab World Institute, in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic, Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al -Thani.
