Glasgow--Celtic manager Ronny Deila says his side's dominance over nearest challengers Aberdeen this season underlines how strong the Hoops have been during their Scottish Premiership campaign.
The Glasgow giants, who were crowned champions for the fourth successive season last weekend, claimed a clean sweep of victories over the Dons with a 1-0 win at Pittodrie on Sunday.
Scott Brown scored the only goal of the game in the second half to earn his side a victory that takes them a massive 14 points clear at the top of the table.
"I think it was a tight game and they put us under pressure in the last part of the game but we had the biggest chances. We defended well inside the box but we should have scored more goals," Deila, who has led Celtic to a Scottish Premiership and League Cup double in his first season in charge, said.
"We should have been more clinical near the end, but I'm happy to win today. It was a tough game but again we got the three points. We have a very good attitude and togetherness and I love to see the boys winning.
"Aberdeen were good and really wanted to win today so it was good of us to get through it with three points.
"They have had a good season but we have also had a very good spell now after Christmas. Four victories against Aberdeen during a season is a strong achievement.
"Our target is to get stronger. That's what we want."
Despite falling to four defeats out of four to the Hoops this season, Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes warned Celtic they would return from their summer break ready to push the Glasgow giants again next season.
