QSA surveys demand for building materials

DOHA: Qatar Statistics Authority (QSA)  has launched a ‘survey for the demand of primary building materials’, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Business and Trade, the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, and the Central Planning Office.

Officials yesterday held a meeting at the QSA in the presence of the key developers engaged in mega projects. 

Participants included representatives of the Ministry of Business and Trade, the Central Planning Office, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Foundation, Msheireb, Ashghal, Diar/Lusail, Barwa, Civil Aviation Authority, and New Port Project.

The survey is being carried out at the request of the Committee created to monitor the supply and demand of primary materials related to the infrastructure projects and the FIFA World Cup. The results will constitute useful information to enable planners and decision makers ensure the regular supply of these materials needed for the timely completion of all the mega project.
