Symposium on SME in automotive industry

DOHA: The EU-GCC Invest, German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) and the German Industry and Commerce Office Qatar (AHK) in cooperation with the Qatari Businessmen Association organised a symposium on “SME in the Automotive Industry” yesterday.
“Opportunities for automotive industry in Qatar”, “Sharing EU SME Policy-Best practices & know-how”, “How to stimulate SME Entrepreneurship, an European model” and “SME/Family business testimonial from automotive industry” were among other topics discussed in the seminar.
The seminar was attended by Adam Kulach Ambassador of the European Union, Dr Peter Geopfrich, Regional Delegate of the German Industry and Commerce for AHK Lower Gulf Region, Sheikh Faleh bin Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani, Ali Al Misnad, Board Member of Qatar Chamber, Maqbool Habib Khalfan, a member of the Qatari Businessmen Association, Nasser K Darwish, as well as representatives from the European Federation of Chambers of Commerce, the European automotive sector and the local private sector specialised in the automotive industry.
Ali Abdullatif Al Misnad, Dirk Vantyghem, Director of International Affairs, EUROCHAMBRES, Svende Vocht, Director of Services and Entrepreneurship, Antwerp Chamber of Commerce were among others who addressed various sessions.
The Peninsula
