Doha: The Ministry of Defense has hosted the fifth meeting of the Qatari-Turkish Joint Higher Military Committee.
The Qatari side was led by the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Staff H E Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit at the meeting, while the Turkish side was led by the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces H E General Yasar Guler.
The meeting dealt with a number of issues on the committee's agenda related to strengthening the existing cooperation between the two countries in various military and security fields.
It was attended by a number of senior commanders and officers of the Qatar Armed Forces, as well as members of the Turkish delegation.
