Ooredoo has announced the addition of new and innovative features to its postpaid plans, making them better value than ever.
In a move that is the first of its kind in the region, starting from 1 February 2022 Ooredoo’s postpaid customers will get free access to the WhatsApp app, meaning they will be able to stay connected to friends and family without consuming data from their plan’s data allowances. There will also be adjustments to fees with the addition of many advantages to most postpaid packages for the benefit of customers, commensurate with their use of the package.
Some customers will get unlimited WhatsApp and free additional international minutes, while others will get unlimited WhatsApp, free additional international minutes and local data, as well as entertainment content and lifestyle benefits from a wide range of options including Shahid VIP, OSN, Urban Point and others.
Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari – Director PR at Ooredoo - said: “We’re pleased to be the first company in the region to offer unlimited WhatsApp usage with our postpaid plans. We know it’s very important for our customers to stay in touch with friends and family, and that WhatsApp is the most popular app used to do this, so we wanted to enable this. We’re working hard to achieve complete customer satisfaction as part of our corporate strategy, and this new initiative aligns with both goals.”
“We’ve notified our customers of the new updates via text messages, so they have enough time to choose the plans that suit them according to their needs and preferences before the changes come into effect from February. We have already started working on reducing the number of packages in line with market needs, and adding other features at competitive prices in a plan that aims to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. Reducing the number of packages gives additional value and allows customers to easily choose between packages, which has been proven by practices in the telecoms market in the world, and for our part, we seek to implement this important and distinctive criterion,” he added.
