DPS-MIS students explore beauty of Al Khor

The Peninsula

With the onset of pleasant weather in Qatar, the DPS-Modern Indian School organised recreational trips for classes VI to X recently.

The students of classes VI to IX were taken to explore the beauty of Al Khor Park located on the outskirts of Doha. Songs, snacks and excitement made the journey a befitting beginning to a fun-filled day.

As the students reached the lush green park, there was no turning back; they found themselves engrossed in various physical activities to test their perseverance and stamina and enjoyed every bit of that moment.

Its well-maintained aviary, captivating waterfall and water fountains, swings, cafeteria and a small zoo with oryx, emu, zebras and exotic birds were adored by the students.

Grade X students immediately went towards the sand dunes. They found themselves mesmerised by the sandy beach and the ocean.

Their vim and vigour knew no bounds and they let out their  energy by going up and down the dunes several times.

Altogether, it was a much awaited break for the students from their usually hectic academic schedule.

This trip instilled in the students the need to respect our natural resources and energised them for their future endeavours.
