The seventh edition of Al Khor air show titled ‘Fly In’ was held yesterday and attracted more than 7,000 visitors. Some 45 aircraft from flying clubs in Qatar and other GCC countries took part in the show, the vice-president of the organising committee Khalid Al Khater said. This year, there was 15 percent increase in the number of aircraft that participated in the ‘Fly In’ show, he said. Held under the patronage of Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority, the show was opened by its chairman, Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi. He said the Authority provides financial and logistic support to the show whose aim is to raise awareness about flying and aviation in society and make it an annual event as an entertaining and educational forum.
