Doha to host Qatari-Pakistani business meet in early 2018

The Qatar Chamber (QC) has announced the hosting of the Qatari-Pakistani business and investment conference to discuss investment and business opportunities between the two countries in various fields.The event, which will be launched in the first quarter of next year will see a participation of 50 businessmen from Pakistan.
Qatar Chamber hosted a visiting delegation of Pakistani businessmen, headed by Zahed Latif Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rawalpindi.
The two sides discussed means of enhancing joint cooperation and arrangements for organizing the Qatari-Pakistani Business and Investment Conference. Qatar Chamber and Qatari business owners were also invited to visit Pakistan to participate in the “Gwadar” port conference scheduled for March 2018.
Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari, Vice- President of Qatar Chamber, during the meeting, welcomed the establishment of the business conference that looks at investment opportunities between Qatar and Pakistan.
He noted that Qatari businessmen are keen to discuss the investment opportunities available in Pakistan, especially in view of the Qatar’s tendency to focus on food security, industrialisation, pharmaceuticals and agriculture projects, which the conference will give special importance to.
The conference is expected to create effective partnerships between the two sides, particularly in light of the incentives provided by the Qatari government to attract foreign investments and facilitate the business environment.
He expressed the hope that the conference would achieve remarkable successes in the interest of enhancing cooperation between the private sector in both countries. He pointed out that all the Qatari economic and trade sectors which are witnessing remarkable movement and development welcome all the investments that can achieve further growth to the State economy.
For his part, Zahid Latif Khan said that the Pakistani private sector is ready to cooperate with his Qatari counterpart in all areas of investment. He called on members of the Qatar Chamber of Businessmen to visit Pakistan for a closer look at the available investment opportunities and interact with their Pakistani counterparts to enhance cooperation in all fields of economic development.
