Snow-covered new Opel cars just off the production line, parked at the Opel Works in Bochum, northwest Germany, before daybreak yesterday. In response to losses in its European business, General Motors is to close the plant at the end of production of the Zafira Tourer in 2016, which will result in 3,200 job losses.
