Doha: HEC Paris-Qatar is hosting the ‘HEC Paris Insights’ webinar series to explore the recovery options in a post-COVID-19 world.
The ‘HEC Paris Insights’ webinar series are designed to support leaders and their teams to be prepared for a new normal. These webinar series witness the participation of a number of eminent professors from the institution, including Dr. Pablo Martin de Holan (pictured), Dean of HEC Paris in Qatar, whose webinar session will be held on September 15.
During his session, ‘Why do managers disregard the signals of an impending crisis?’, Dr. Pablo Martin de Holan, will analyse why managers and firms fail to anticipate “predictable surprises” and the various dimensions that push managers and firms to avoid taking action while recovery windows still exist.

Dr. Pablo Martin de Holan, a Ph.D from McGill University in Canada, is currently serving as a professor of Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship at HEC Paris in Qatar. He has served at various institutions like IE Business School in Spain, INCAE Business School - Costa Rica, EMLYON Business School in France and in the Middle East. He has been a visiting professor at Krannert School of Management (Purdue University), Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sun Yat Sen College (China), and over thirty other institutions in five continents.
