DPS-Modern Indian School celebrates Teachers’ Day

Doha: The students of DPS-Modern Indian School celebrated Teachers’ Day with a multitude of online presentations as a mark of their appreciation and gratitude to all the education warriors for their commitment and dedication for imparting uninterrupted holistic education especially during these unprecedented times.

This year the mode was different but the magnitude and enthusiasm was remarkable.

The students of Grade XI and XII conveyed their heartfelt feelings for their mentors and guides through  a poetic audio visual presentation. The middle school students paid a musical tribute to all the teachers, thanking them for their immense contribution in fostering their lives.

The students from Nursery to Grade XII greeted their teachers with their selfies carrying an appreciation message for their magnanimous effort in bringing a positive difference to their lives. All the videos are uploaded on the official Facebook page of DPS-MIS.

A virtual meeting was also organised in order to acknowledge the immense contribution of the nation builders in  moulding and educating the global citizens of tomorrow. The occasion was attended by Vice-President DPS-MIS, Yasir Nainar; Principal, Asna Nafees; Vice-Principal, Senior Secondary School, Soma Bhattacharjee; Vice-Principal, Senior School, Mary Cruz, and Headmistress Sini Menon.

The chief guest, Yasir Nainar highlighted the vital role of teachers in the lives of their students. He commended the efforts of all the teachers who transpire hope, love and wisdom  among the students and insisted on infusing the young minds with stronger values so that they are groomed into more valuable individuals. 

Principal Asna Nafees, in her address, lauded the teachers for their quick adaptation to changes from offline classes to online classes and continue impacting lives positively. 

She also advised them to keep themselves updated and reflect on the areas of improvement in order to bettering the best and creating an ideal teaching-learning atmosphere for the students. 

She also congratulated HOD Social Science, Jayanthi Rajagopalan, who has been selected for the ‘Best Teacher Award’ by Embassy of India, Qatar under the aegis of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India  for her invaluable contribution to the field of education. 

Soma Bhattacharjee, Mary Cruz, and Sini Menon conveyed their wishes to all the teachers on Teachers’ Day and applauded their commitment and perseverance in taking the school to greater heights.
