New Delhi: A 20-year-old man was yesterday arrested for attacking a middle aged property dealer and his wife in their house here when their daughter rejected his marriage proposal, police said yesterday.
Pushpendra was arrested by Delhi Police from Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun district, police said.
Pushpendra on Sunday morning opened fire on Yogesh Jain, 55, a property dealer, and attacked his wife Poonam, 50, with a stick in Jyoti Nagar in east Delhi.
Police said he got the weapon from his friend.
The attack occurred around 10am soon after he proposed to the elder daughter of the Jains to marry him.
