Doha: Ooredoo volunteers visited Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre as part of the ongoing #DaysOfJoy campaign for Ramadan.
Patients undergoing dialysis and treatment were given gift bags and moments of happiness brought by the group.
The Ooredoo team was received by nurses, senior staff and patients.
The popular gang of friends, the Alrabaa, also surprised shoppers at Villaggio with gifts and goodies for children.
They delighted visitors with entertainment and random acts of kindness such as helping shoppers with their bags.
Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director, Community and Public Relations, Ooredoo, said: “Corporate social responsibility initiatives such as these are core to the Ooredoo brand, not just during the holy month but throughout the year.
“We have a strong partnership with the centre and to provide a little happiness for people who are sick is what Ramadan is all about.”
The visit to the centre was part of events hosted by Ooredoo during Ramadan to facilitate the spirit of giving and joy this season brings.
The Alrabaa will be seen at events and locations in the city with surprises and entertainment for all.
It is a group of seven playful characters that represent Qatar’s culture and tradition. Bu Jassem, Khaled, Fahad, Sa’ad, Faisal, Youssef and Nawaf will take part in activities, including visits to hospitals, surprise appearances at malls, and events for charities.
