Tashkent: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah visited Barer military textiles factory in the Uzbek city of Chirchik.
He toured the factory which is specialised in the fields of military technical fabric. The factory is a joint venture between Qatari and the Uzbek defence ministries, with the Qatari side owning the bigger chunk of its shares.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs also visited 'ZTTZ' tank repair plant in the Uzbek city of Chirchik. He was briefed on the services the plant provides in the field of restoring tanks and various military vehicles.
Qatar’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan H E Hassan bin Hamza Hashim accompanied H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah in the two visits.
