KARACHI: Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Ghulam Haider Jamali on Tuesday announced women's exemption from the traffic regulation under which wearing helmet was declared mandatory for all motorcycle riders as well as pillions.
According to reports, the IGP directed the traffic police to exempt women after repeated appeals from citizens.
In an earlier announcement the police said in case of riding pillion without helmets, both will be fined, regardless of whether the pillion is a male or female.
