Munich, Germany: A man slashed four people with a knife at a railway station in Germany early Tuesday in what police said may have been a "politically motivated" attack.

"Two people are badly wounded, one is in critical condition" after the attack around 0300 GMT in the town of Grafing east of Munich, a police spokesman in Bavaria state told AFP.

Local media reported that witnesses said the young man had yelled "Allahu akbar" ("God is greatest") during the attack.
