DOHA: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has received more than thousand applications from job seekers and graduates at Qatar Career Fair 2013 held recently here at Qatar National Convention Centre.
A total of 1,077 applications were submitted for 80 exclusively available jobs for Qataris at Kahramaa’s various departments.
This includes employment opportunities for technical jobs in various engineering areas (electrical, mechanical, civil, and IT, etc), administrative, finance and business development-related positions. A large number of job-seekers showed their interests in the field of Engineering. Apart from the direct recruitment’s application, 218 applications were received under scholarships for educational programmes and Individual development opportunities category.
Complying with the necessary procedures and coordinating with other concerned departments, Kahramaa’s Human Resource department has commenced the scrutiny of received applications in all categories. After the phase, selected candidates will be intimated for the interview and through an open recruitment day, the successful applicants will be recruited finally. Short listing and interview of aspirants will be finished during two weeks.
Kahramaa’s Corporate Services Director, Kahmees Al Mohannadi said that they achieved 61 percent of their target after receiving applications at the fifth edition of the Qatar Career Fair.
